ALICANTE (FP7) - MediA Ecosystem Deployment through Ubiquitous Content-Aware Network Environments
The ALICANTE advanced concept provides Content-awareness to the Network Environment, Network- and User Context-awareness to the Service Environment, and adapted services/content to the End- User for his best service experience possible, taking the role of a consumer and/or producer. In this project, Optibase contributes to the adaptation of content and acts as a WP leader.

DIOMEDES (FP7) - Distribution of Multi-View Entertainment Using Content Aware Delivery Systems
DIOMEDES project will focus on new methods for the compression and delivery of multi-view video and multi-channel audio to users. The DIOMEDES approach is to develop a 3D Peer-to-Peer (P2P) distribution system, which will be designed jointly with novel video compression techniques. The compression, distribution, and security technologies developed within DIOMEDES will be demonstrated in the form of an integrated test bed. In this project Optibase contributes the streaming of MVC and is a WP leader.

OptiBand (FP7) - Optimisation of Bandwidth for IPTV Video Streaming
OptiBand project focus is on optimizing the bandwidth of IPTV for the delivery of multiple HD streams over a single ADSL line, and by that enabling multiple HD channels per household. In this project Optibase contributes video encoding and streaming technologies and leads the architecture work package.

IMOSAN - Integrated Multi-layer Optimazation of broadband DVB-S.2 Satellite Networks
IMOSAN is an EU funded IST project which proposes an integrated management solution that allows optimum usage of the satellite spectrum, which spans across three layers: physical, network and service. Optibase is a contributor to this project.

porTiVity
The objective of the PorTiVity project is to develop and experiment a complete end-to-end platform providing Rich Media Interactive TV services for portable and mobile devices. Optibase is a contributor to this project.

Divas
Divas represents the combined efforts of eight companies and institutions to design and develop a multimedia search engine based on advanced direct video and audio search algorithms applied on encoded (compressed) content. Optibase is a contributor to this project.

Negev is an Israeli consortium, dedicated to building enabling generic technologies that can fulfill the vision of Personal Content Services. Optibase is a contributor to this project.

Tiramisu
Optibase was the coordinator and technical manager of the TIRAMISU (The Innovative Rights and Access Management Inter-platform Solution) FP6 project which proposed a protected framework for the creation, delivery and consumption of audio-visual media across a wide range of hybrid networks and platforms.

Enthrone
The Enthrone project proposed an integrated management solution which covers the audio-visual service distribution chain. Optibase had major role as leader of Content Generation and Content Protection Work Packages.

Instinct
INSTINCT will lay the foundation for the commercial take-up of the co-operation of broadcasting and telecommunication services in mobility for people on the move. Optibase is a contributor to this project.

REPOSIT - Real Time Dynamic Bandwidth Optimisation in Satellite Networks
Reposit is a research project dedicated to defining, developing and implementing a spectrum efficient interactive satellite (DVB-S) network, using real time dynamic management of available bandwidth. This broadcasting infrastructure will enable a variety of services, like interactive TV, Internet and multimedia applications.

GMF for iTV - Generic Media Framework for Interactive TeleVision
GMF for iTV was set up to enhance the technological perspectives of the Multimedia Home Platform (MHP) standard, by providing a generic interactive TV framework. The project provides an end-to-end platform for interactive services on heterogeneous multimedia devices (Set-Top-Boxes and PCs).
