MGW 400 is a portable, hardware-based MPEG-4 encoding and streaming platform. From low bit-rate streaming to DVD quality, full screen resolution compression (Full D-1), MGW 400 offers comprehensive streaming capabilities in a dense, space-efficient form factor. Combined with EZ TV IPTV System, it creates an end-to-end solution for education, corporate communications, monitoring and tactical video applications.
MGW 400 incorporates a storage disk that allows operators to stream over IP and create MPEG files on the local disk simultaneously. Stored assets can then be used for offline retrieval, VOD uploads and scheduled playback.
Designed to operate in various network mediums including LAN, WAN and satellite links, MGW 400 platform can be installed at the head-end, in remote sites or on mobile vehicles. It offers full control of network and MPEG parameters to help operators utilize their bandwidth efficiently. Plug-and-play architecture, auto-starts last known configuration, making it easy to operate and mobilize from one location to another.
MGW 400 is installed and used in various military, education and government facilities that make use of its hardware-based architecture and reliability for 24x7 applications. ISMA-compliancy ensures interoperability with market leading PC/Mac players such as QuickTime, Real Player, VideoLAN, (VLC) and Windows Media Player.
